Currently, an estimated 27 million people suffer from osteoarthritis, making it one of the most common causes of disability in the U.S.

Pain from osteoarthritis of the knee is usually worse following activity, especially overuse of the affected knee. Stiffness can worsen after sitting for prolonged periods of time. Osteoarthritis of the knee is a leading cause of disability in the United States. It develops slowly and the pain it causes worsens over time.
